Introduction

The story of Joshua and the battle of Jericho is one of the most dramatic and exciting stories in the Bible.

When God told Joshua to have the people march around Jericho, they did eactly what God told them to do. They marched around the city for seven days and on the seventh day they marched around the city seven times. When they heard the loud blast of the trumpet and gave a loud shout, the walls of Jericho came tumbling down just as God said they would.

Joshua did eaxactly what God asked. His obedience to God is an example to each of us as to how we are to act each day. We need to obey God and do exactly what He says in His word. We too, must learn to obey God.

Application

With God nothing is impossible and we must learn to apply that fact to our lives. We must learn to do what God asks of us without question. Only then, will we be able to live as God intended us to live and be able to do His Will daily.

God sent His Son to this earth that those of us who believe on Him will have eternal life. We will live with Him forever in heaven. But, if we truly believe in Him, we should do what He asks us to do while we are still living here on this earth. That is what true obedience means, and that is how we will receive our reward in heaven.

God is able to lead us and guide us each day. He is in control of all of the universe. He cares for each of us and has a plan for us to follow. When we are obedient and follow Him, we will have joy and peace even now, on this earth. We must trust God and do what He says just as Joshua did at Jericho.
