The Great Flying Saucer Myth

The Great Flying Saucer Myth by Kelly L. Segraves

In His Own Words

In Matthew 24:37-39 we have a description of the last days given by the Lord Jesus Christ Himself. Surely it is significant that He likens the day of His coming to the days of Noah. Notice what he says: "But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be."

In the days before the flood man was eating, drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, or in other words, man was concerned with the physical and material pleasures of life and failed or refused to follow God. There was no time for God. Violence and crime increased and all flesh was corrupt before God (Genesis 6:11). Man became so wicked, depravity so great, sexual desires so lurid, sin so openly wanton that man and angel alike participated In open defiance of God’s sacred plan.

So horrid were these acts that it was necessary to send a tremendous judgment in the form of the flood. The God that created man in the beginning now displayed his power to judge man for his disobedience and to destroy mankind in the waters of the great deluge in the days of Noah.

The world that then was, perished (II Peter 3:6) and all that dwelt on the earth perished except Noah and those that were with him on the ark. Surely this too, should give us insight into the power of God and demonstrate that His judgment is real.
