The Great Flying Saucer Myth

The Great Flying Saucer Myth by Kelly L. Segraves

The Seven Seals

At the opening of the first seal (Rev. 6:1-2) a dictator is revealed riding on a white horse going forth to conquer. This dictator is revealed as a satanic controlled and possessed individual known as the antichrist or false Christ. Ultimately he will be recognized as the sovereign leader of the entire world for he will conquer the people of the earth. It is believed by Bible students that this man who will soon be revealed is alive today.

When the second seal is opened (Rev.6:3-4) it reveals a rider on red horse and denotes a period of war and bloodshed. It is here that Russia with her Arab allies invade the Middle East and attack Israel. Thus war ultimately involves all major powers of the earth and leads to the great and final battle of Armageddon. This war breaks out in the middle of this seven year tribulation period this ending the period of peace.

At the opening of the third seal (Rev. 6:5-6) we find there is economic disaster. Famine is the true meaning of the rider on the black horse as hunger and starvation adds fuel to the war that is then going on.

The rider on the pale horse as revealed by the opening of the fourth seal (Rev. 6:7) stands for death and hell. Here we have death on a massive scale along with pestilence and plagues. These four horsemen indicate a disastrous world to come. They predict war on a global basis. The opening of the fifth seal (Rev. 6:9-11) reveals a picture in heaven of believers in the true God who found their belief after the rapture and during this tribulation period. The souls of these martyrs cry out to God for deliverance and they are promised that at the end of the tribulation they to will be taken into heaven. True believers will be easy to identify during this period for they will refuse to wear the mark of the beast, which is the number 666, and thus will be prohibited from buying and selling. Rev. 14:9-11 warns of the destruction of those who receive this mark by the eternal God and thus it is easy to see why those who refuse will suffer at the hand of the antichrist.

The opening of the sixth seal (Rev. 6:12-17) predicts a tremendous earthquake, perhaps the greatest that has ever taken place on this earth. This may be caused by the first great nuclear exchange of the nations engaged in this violent war on earth, Perhaps here we can gain some insight into the warnings of the saucerians to lay aside our nuclear weapons. They realize that this event is predicted by God and will lead to their destruction. What better way to attempt to stop that warfare than the insistent warnings against nuclear weapons? But like the worldwide flood which took place in the past, the events foretold in the book of Revelation assuredly will take place. This tribulation period is in reality a purging of the nation of Israel as they return to belief in the true God. Between the opening of the sixth and seventh seal we are told there will be 144,000 Jewish evangelists who proclaim God’s true message to those who remain on the earth. This is a time of great global cataclysms and disasters.

At the opening of the seventh seal (Rev.8:1-6) there is a violent earthquake. So great is the judgment to come as a result of the opening of this seal that there is silence in heaven for one-half hour. When this seal is opened it reveals to us a series of seven judgments as indicated by the blowing of seven trumpets. As each trumpet is sounded drastic judgments occur on the face of this planet earth.
